Great North Run, Supporting Children with Cancer

Today marks the 40th Great North Run taking place annually since its inception in 1981, the race is a half-marathon 13.1 mile which starts in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne and moves through the neighbouring borough of Gateshead towards South Tyneside traditionally. The finish line is located in South Shields on the North East Coast, but this year due to the COVID 19 Pandemic the race will end within Newcastle Upon Tyne.

This year Dock Technik are supporting a cohort of local runners running for the Children With Cancer UK is a United Kingdom-based charity dedicated to raising money for research and providing care for children with cancer and their families. The aims of their research projects are to understand what causes children to get cancer and to develop improved treatments.
