Another day, another damaged dock shelter! Today we dispatched a team to a retractable dock shelter that was reported to be hanging down on the loading bay at a site in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear. It was reported to be a severe health and safety issue that had put a stop to the dock leveller being used which in turn was putting a strain on the business.
One of our Dock Technik teams were able to get there on the same day and remove the damaged dock shelter. A new contract on the site has meant that taller vehicles are now using the bays so we have quoted for a new taller replacement retractable dock shelter. Our team assessed the dock leveller, sectional door and buffers and were satisfied that in the meantime the bay is safe to use without the dock shelter.
